The mother daughter relationship can be one of the most complicated and hardest relationships to navigate that a woman may experience in her life.

 

Join us for a great conversation on the importance of the mother daughter relationship where we will discuss the different dynamics, barriers,  boundaries pertaining to this relationship and the freedom in forgiveness, growth, and acceptance.

 

And this is not just a conference for the biological mothers and daughters by the way. There are plenty of women filling the role of a mother such as aunts, cousins, sisters, step-mothers, adopted mothers, etc, THIS CONFERENCE IS FOR YOU TOO!

Our Guest Speakers

Michelle McKinnie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional  (CCTP). She holds a Master's Degree in Community Counseling, in additional training on topics that range from Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Shame, Wellness, etc. She currently works as a Telehealth Therapist.

 

Michelle is a seasoned presenter at Harold Washington College for the Child Development cohort. In her career, she had the opportunity to serve as a Trainer/Consultant for a Chicagoland Charter School where she facilitated groups for the parents and staff. She has over 15 years of experience in the Social Service Field, as an educator, supervisor, presenter, and clinician.  Michelle is dedicated to helping others improve their lives through education, insight, and facilitating change. She has embraced a passion for writing since age 13. Michelle is featured in two compilations “Triumph over Grief,” and Voices of the 21st Century.

 

She is the founder of DerorWoman and will be updating the blog to be finalized and launched in early 2023. She is married and lives with her family in the South Suburbs of Chicago.
